Laboratory of Informatics, Robotics and Microelectronics of Montpellier, France (LIRMM)

The Laboratory of Informatics, Robotics and Microelectronics of Montpellier (LIRMM) is a mixed research unit between the University of Montpellier 2 (UM2) and the National Scientific Research Center (CNRS). The LIRMM has experience in a number of European
and national scientific projects, as well as collaborations with industrial actors from the region. The results of several projects in which the LIRMM is currently (or has been in the recent past) involved, such as DATALIFT (ended in March 2014), Qualinca (running), and Doremus (submitted), may be called upon in the LDCT project.

Role in the project:

With a strong expertise in the field of ontology alignment and data linking, and with a growing interest towards participatory sources of information, such as social networks, the team within LIRMM will be mainly responsible for modeling of cultural events and collecting and integrating data about cultural events. LIRMM will also contribute to the enrichment of LDBC infrastructure with information coming from social media, alignment to touristic offers and will play an active role in platform architecture, integration and validation.
